Cross-Border Philosophy

Advent Morro dedicates as much effort to supporting our portfolio companies as we do selecting them. Our philosophy centers on adding tangible value to every company we invest in, not just providing capital.

We believe in building strong partnerships with management teams, providing strategic guidance, operational expertise, and access to our extensive network of relationships across industries and geographies.

Investment Criteria

We target companies that meet the following criteria:

  • Revenue: $5 million to $20 million
  • Operating Cash Flow: $1 million to $5 million
  • Equity Investment: $5 million to $10 million
  • Investment Horizon: 3 to 7 years

Geographic Focus

We focus on three types of investment opportunities:

  • Companies operating in Puerto Rico
  • Puerto Rican companies expanding into the U.S. and Latin America
  • Mainland-based companies targeting the U.S. Hispanic market

Source & Screen

We actively source opportunities through our network of relationships, industry contacts, and proprietary research. We screen for companies that meet our investment criteria and have strong management teams.

Evaluate & Structure

We conduct thorough due diligence on business operations, financials, management, and market position. We structure investments to align incentives and create flexibility for growth.

Partner & Support

We take active board roles and work closely with management to implement strategic initiatives, improve operations, and pursue growth opportunities. We provide ongoing strategic and operational support.

Exit & Returns

We work with management to achieve optimal exits through strategic sales, financial buyer transactions, or other liquidity events. Our typical investment horizon is 3-7 years.

Exit Strategy

Our intent is to be an equity partner for a period of three to seven years.

Exit strategies typically focus where Advent Morro has extensive experience, primarily through financial or strategic buyers. We work with management teams throughout the investment period to prepare for and execute successful exits.
